SoundSpace features simultaneous performances of modern and contemporary composers alongside the visual art in the museum’s galleries. This program is generously underwritten by Michael Chesser.
Beat the Rush is a series of gallery concerts in which musicians perform in response to the paintings, drawings, and sculptures on display and discuss how their music is inspired by visual art.
Midday Music Series is a collaboration between the Butler School of Music and the Blanton Museum of Art exploring connections between art and a variety of musical genres. The program features performances by faculty and student musicians, who will discuss how the music relates to the visual arts.
