The Blanton is dedicated to working with university faculty to create unique learning experiences for students and to provide access to information and resources for both. As the principal home for works of art at the University of Texas, the museum's diverse collections and campus location make it a fantastic resource for every campus department. Faculty in disciplines ranging from Astronomy, History, Latin American Studies, Mathematics, Music, Political Science, Religion, Social Work, and Spanish and Portuguese regularly use the Blanton as a classroom resource.

Curriculum Connections & Class Visits

Whether you would like to schedule an introductory class visit to the museum, design an in-depth discussion based on a particular exhibition, artist, or artwork, or if you have an innovative idea for collaboration, Blanton staff will work closely with faculty to build strong, creative connections between curriculum and current exhibitions. The Blanton periodically offers special events for faculty and staff, including behind-the-scene museum tours and informal social events in the galleries. Academic Reservations

The Blanton offers several meeting spaces for academic use for graduate and undergraduate courses, departments and organizations that utilize the Blanton's collections and exhibitions as a resource or have a significant tie to the arts when resources allow.

Facility Rentals for University Audiences

The Blanton welcomes you to host events, ranging from lectures, to symposia, to festive receptions and exclusive black-tie dinners in the Michener Gallery Building and Smith Building. A variety of spaces are ready to suit your needs in the Blanton Museum's beautiful new home. University functions often qualify for special discounted rental rates.
