INTERNSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

Interested in learning about the art world? The Blanton is preparing tomorrow’s leaders by providing experiential learning opportunities for future art historians, educators, and museum professionals. A range of internships and fellowships allow both undergraduates and graduate students to unite academic knowledge with real world practice in the museum.

The Blanton offers several paid yearlong fellowships annually for UT graduate students, as well as unpaid undergraduate and graduate internships based on departmental needs. For a more detailed description of the museum’s internship and fellowship program, current openings, and application instructions, please click here.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

The Blanton welcomes students from UT or any university campus who are cheerful, kind, helpful, empathetic, patient, service–oriented, and want to spend time in an arts-loving community to apply for the Volunteer Program. Volunteers help the museum in various ways, greeting visitors as they walk through the doors, answering questions at the Information Desk, assisting with family activities and B Scene parties, and serving other departmental needs. For more details and application instructions, please click here.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR CAMPUS GROUPS

Let art be the focal point of your student outing! All campus groups are welcome at the Blanton, from academic and Greek societies to service organizations and special interest clubs. The Blanton can develop customized guided tours for any campus group interested in a special gathering at the museum. Your organization may also enjoy connecting with art and ideas through one of our many public programs, such as our Third Thursday concerts, lectures, films, and gallery talks. Blanton admission is always free for UT students. To request a guided tour, please complete our group reservation form at least three weeks in advance.

B SCENE

Celebrate the Blanton’s newest art exhibitions every fall, spring and summer when the museum opens its doors from 6pm to 10pm on a Friday evening for its B scene parties. Each event has a unique theme and features live music and dancing, cash bars, food, activities, and guided gallery tours.  A great place to be and be seen!  Admission is $12 for students and the general public, and free for Blanton members. For more information, see our B scene page

BLANTON CAFÉ
