THE BLANTON INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Blanton offers severy paid yearlong internships for UT graduate students. Students work on a range of interesting projects throughout the year, often focusing on independent research in the second semester. The museum also occasionally offers flexible, unpaid graduate and undergraduate internships based on departmental needs. For a more detailed description of the program please visit the Internship page.

COURSE CONTENT OPPORTUNITIES

The Blanton's staff works with a variety of university resources to provide students with content-rich instruction based on the museum's collections and special exhibitions. The link below leads to a multimedia program created by art education graduate students in Dr. Melinda Mayer's course "Museum Education: Practice and Application" (AED 383K). The fall 2008 exhibition Reimagining Space: The Park Place Group in 1960s New York, guest-curated by Dr. Linda Dalrymple Henderson, is the focus of this course project, which will enable future museum educators to develop knowledge and skills related to the educational use of technology in the art museum.
