From IH–35

Take the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard exit heading west for The University of Texas at Austin campus. The Blanton will be on the right side of MLK across from the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum at Congress Avenue (approximately four blocks from IH–35). Turn right on Brazos Street and the Brazos Parking Garage is on your right.

From MoPac/Highway 1

Take the Enfield Road exit heading east. Travel .08 miles down Enfield Road to W 15th street. Take W 15th street 1.5 miles east to Congress Avenue and turn left heading north on Congress. Go four blocks. Congress dead–ends at the Blanton. Turn right on MLK and go one more block to Brazos and turn left. The Brazos Parking Garage is on your right.

From The Austin–Bergstrom International Airport

Follow the signs to exit the airport. Turn left on 290 Westbound towards town. Veer right on Airport Boulevard (Loop 111). Approximately two miles, turn left at the light on MLK. Travel another two miles on MLK, crossing over IH–35. The Blanton will be on the right side of MLK across from the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum just after Brazos Street and just before Congress Avenue.

  • The Orange 'Dillo Route serves the South Congress, Downtown, and UT areas and includes a stop one block away from MLK Blvd and Congress Avenue.

  • The 'Dillo runs from approximately 10 AM to
    6 PM Monday through Saturday, and approximately 11 AM to 6 PM on Sundays.

The museum is also served by regular bus routes 1, 5, and 7. Contact Capital Metro for other routes with stops within walking distance or with questions about accessibility.
