Welcome! Here are a number of ways to park when visiting the Blanton.
Garage parking
Paid parking is available in the Brazos Garage on Brazos Street and MLK, conveniently located one block east of the museum. Trinity Garage is three blocks from the museum on the corner of MLK and Trinity and is the closest UT Garage after Brazos.
Free parking is available for any stay under 30 minutes at any university garage.
Parking is available at the Brazos Garage and Trinity Garage to members and general admission visitors for $3 if you present your ticket and pay at the Blanton's Visitor Services Desk. PLEASE BE SURE TO BRING YOUR TICKET WITH YOU TO THE MUSEUM AND GET IT VALIDATED TO RECEIVE THIS DISCOUNTED RATE.
Please note that the Brazos Garage has space allotted just for Blanton members and visitors, even if the Lot Full or Card Only signs are on. If these signs are on, follow these guidelines. When you approach the garage, pull a ticket for entry. If no ticket is dispensed, push the intercom button and tell the attendant that you are there to visit The Blanton. Depending on the occupancy levels of the garage, if space is available, the attendant will be able to allow your entry. The attendant will adjust the system and allow you to pull a ticket for entry.

Nearby and street parking
The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum located across the street from The Blanton, has an underground parking garage that charges $8 per vehicle for all day parking. Visit their website for parking information.
Parking on streets nearby the Blanton is free on evenings after 5:45 PM and weekends. (Parking is not free but is reduced at the Brazos Garage during those times.) There are many State of Texas employee lots that are free after 6 PM on the evenings and weekends.
Accessible parking
There are four handicapped parking spaces located close to the museum's front door on the north side of the building on Jester Circle. The Brazos Garage has a number of accessible parking spaces on each floor for disabled visitors. After parking, just follow the signs and sidewalk to the museum front door. Additionally, on evenings and weekends there are extra handicapped spaces available north of the museum (see attached map for the “D” spaces available).
Bicycles
Cyclists are welcome to park at the museum. Bike racks are available on museum grounds. Don't forget to bring your own lock!
