The Blanton Museum of Art at The University of Texas at Austin presents B Scene: Color Me Cute, a colorful and interactive music and art party 
 
When:  

Friday, April 24, 7-11 p.m.  

Details: 

B Scene: Color Me Cute features late-night hours, live music, dancing, art talks, temporary tattoos, a photobooth, colorful art-making activities, special themed art tours, a costume contest, and more! 
 
B Scene: Color Me Cute is inspired by the new exhibition American Modernism from the Charles Butt Collection: From Edward Hopper to Alma Thomas and features live musical performances by art pop duo Jane Leo and electro-pop act Dossey, praised by NPRʼs All Songs Considered  as “unmissable,” presented by Resound Presents.

B Scene: Color Me Cute Event Highlights (view full event schedule) 

  • Food and drink available for purchase from TacoWey and Haymaker Bar. Museum members have access to a special members’ lounge and cash bar.  
  • Austin-based artist Christopher Miñán Fitzgerald will give a gallery talk about the painting Indian Canoe (circa 1886) by Albert Bierstadt. 
  • Interactive, rainbow-colored themed art tours  
  • Art-making activities inspired by Alma Thomas  
  • Open-air photobooth on-site for selfies and candid pictures  
  • Create textured clay tiles embellished with stamps alongside Natalie Earhart, co-founder of Almost Real Things and Touch the Art
  • Create colorful bracelets and keychains with London Brantley, bead maker and owner of the Austin Bead Box 
  • Get fresh ink at the Temporary Tattoo Station on the Moody Patio 
  • Get dressed up and join our vibrant + colorful Costume Contest 
  • Stay out late: Experience world-renowned art on view in the Museum Galleries and grab a treat at the Museum Store, open late.

    Tickets:  

    • Blanton Member: $20; Adult: $30; Youth (ages 6-17): $10 ($5 for members)
