 Join us on a journey through our wide-ranging collection of Latin American art! Through close looking and conversation, we will make meaningful connections with works of art  from Mexico, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. Join this guided tour to learn more about Spirit & Splendor: El Greco, Velázquez, and the Hispanic Baroque. Featuring 57 masterpieces from the esteemed collection of The Hispanic Society Museum & Library, Spirit & Splendor traces a 150-year history of Spanish painting that culminates with the Baroque, a style characterized by dramatic realism, opulence, and religious devotion. This vibrant show features print sets from influential workshops in Mexico and Puerto Rico, alongside rarely seen works from Bolivia, Paraguay, and other Latin American countries. These print portfolios/sets, often organized by region, country or graphic studios, showcase the power of collaboration and creativity. Through close looking and conversation, we will make meaningful connections to the works of art on display in our latest Paper Vault Exhibition.
