Pop-Up Exhibition: Fantastic Beasts

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! While Dorothy worried about these animals during her journey through Oz, printmakers have depicted encounters with otherworldly beasts from medieval times to the present. Come to the H-E-B Study Room for a chance to admire creatures at times ferocious, familiar, and even fantastic. With images drawn from mythology and beyond, this pop-up will offer a virtual zoo, unlike anything you’ve seen before.

Please note that the Blanton is modifying some of its programming schedule in 2020. The print pop-ups will be on hiatus after Lone Stardom on January 16, 2020, but will return in the summer. Check back to the Blanton’s events calendars for more details.

Museum admission is always free on Thursdays. On the third Thursday of each month, the museum remains open until 9 pm.

The Blanton is located at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.  Paid parking is available in the Blanton/Brazos Garage on Brazos Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Parking is $4; bring your ticket with you to the front desk of the museum for payment and validation.
