Join us for this special public program in conjunction with our exhibition Words/Matter: Latin American Art and Language at the Blanton. Art historian Dr. Gina Tarver, Associate Professor of Art History, Texas State University, will discuss Colombian artists who have, since the 1970s, combined words and materials in ways that cleverly address current social, economic, and political issues.

This event will take place in our Capitol Room, located across the plaza in our Smith building, and is free with museum admission. Paid parking is available in the Brazos Garage on Brazos Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Parking is $4; bring your ticket with you to the museum for payment and validation.
The Blanton is located at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
