We are delighted to celebrate the official opening of Ellsworth Kelly’s ’Austin’ with this FREE event for the public!
Simone Wicha, our Museum Director, will share opening remarks along with Mayor of Austin Steve Adler, President of The University of Texas at Austin Greg Fenves, and President of the Ellsworth Kelly Foundation Jack Shear at a special ceremony, followed by a musical performance by the University of Texas at Austin Longhorn Band.
We invite the public to sign the guest books available on the tables directly outside ’Austin.’ Share your experience on social media using the #KellyAtTheBlanton hashtag.

The Blanton is located at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Paid parking is available in the Brazos Garage on Brazos Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Parking is $4; bring your ticket with you to the museum.
