Enjoy some jazz interpretations over your lunch break and join us for a special premiere of new works by The University of Texas at Austin Jazz Composition department, created in response to our exhibition, ’The Open Road: Photography and the American road trip.’

AIME*, the Alternative Improvised Music Ensemble, are a select group of jazz musicians at UT’s Butler School of Music, and performers at this event will include Ari Burns (trumpet), Nicolas Chacon (drums), David Kapral (trombone), John Mills (tenor saxophone), Jessica Mortensen (tenor saxophone), William Cameron Riggs (piano), Paulo Santos (tenor saxophone), Ben Vogel (bass), Thomas Wenglenski (piano), and Ben Zeff (guitar).

This event is included in the price of admission. Free for members and UT students, faculty, and staff.

The Blanton is located at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Paid parking is available in the Brazos Garage on Brazos Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Parking is $4; bring your ticket with you to the museum.
