Team Building Workshops

Is your organization looking for fresh ways to inspire and empower internal teams?

Are you and your colleagues seeking creative activities to encourage thoughtful interaction and improve communication?

Our staff development workshops and customized retreats will provide an invaluable experience for workgroups in the corporate, technology, health, and non-profit sectors.  Engaging with art can build emotional intelligence and communication skills, enhance creative and critical thinking skills, and stimulate professional reflection.

Choose one of the options below for your team—or request a consultation/gallery walkthrough with a senior educator who will design your custom workshop.

  • Team Dynamics and Communication
  • Different Ways of Thinking: From the Critical to the Creative
  • Building Community around Shared Values and Stories
  • Resilience and Well-being
  • Playful Challenges

Each option will include focused, interpretive conversations that invite close looking, evidence-based reasoning, and diverse perspectives—as well as lively, skills-based activities that relate to professional goals and values.

This is a sample of our pricing structure. Larger groups will require 2 facilitators and will be charged accordingly.

  • $1500 for 8-15 participants on a 2.5-hour gallery experience
  • $2500 for up to 15 participants on a half-day workshop

Note: Fees are calculated on the “Robin Hood model,” so corporate clients can consider 40% of their costs as a contribution that supports the Blanton in serving non-profit work teams, as well as vulnerable populations in our community.

Representatives from non-profit and social service organizations may inquire about our sliding scale for workshop fees.

For bookings or to discuss a custom workshop/retreat, please email Ray.Williams@blantonmuseum.org. We recommend contacting us at least 3 weeks in advance.

Relaxing, thought-provoking, and rejuvenating.  I got a chance to spend time with my colleagues in a way I don’t usually get to, and that was delightful.”
AGE of Central Texas

“I loved it! I love the different types of activities and range of things we did. It felt nice to relax, laugh and be engaged with my creative side of the brain.. which I rarely access I think.”

“Ray was such a wonderful guide and facilitator.  I really enjoyed how collaborative and embodiment-based his approach was.  It felt really different and much more enjoyable than a more traditional art “critique” experience. I would’ve followed him around the Blanton for many more hours than the two we had.”
SAFE Austin

“I loved the experience, and can’t rave enough about how our guide allowed our thoughts and collaboration to organically develop.  We had the time and space to really consider the art and each other’s perspective.  Such a great wakeup call in terms of team projects!.”
Civitas Learning

“… a creative means of professional development that explored team dynamics and communication styles…”

“Everyone was engaged in some way.  Individuals that are usually reserved were more talkative.  The educators were non-judgemental and gentle in their facilitation style.”
