Rights and Reproduction Policy
In general, the Blanton approves only scholarly, educational, and non-profit projects for the use of images in the collection. Commercial projects may only be approved if educational or scholarly in nature. We may not be able to fulfill every request due to copyright, or other restrictions. Each request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. A minimum of 2-week notice is required to process
image requests.
Image Request Fees
The applicant will be notified of applicable fees. Image fees are determined upon the nature of the request, and the applicant’s status as a non-profit or commercial organization. Fulfillment is made for existing images only. If new photography is required, additional fees may apply.

Image Request Submission
All requests to reproduce images of artwork from the Blanton Museum of Art collection must be submitted via e-mail to Michael Carnes at michael.carnes@blantonmuseum.org
Upon review, an invoice and the museum’s Application for Permission form are then prepared and sent to the applicant by Blanton Museum Rights and Reproductions staff. Payment (by check or credit card) and the completed Application for Permission form must be received prior to sending the image out. Digital images are sent using a link for download.
If your request is still unanswered or you’ve encountered any issues with the recently removed submission form, please follow up with the Rights and Reproductions Contact:
