4pm – Curator’s Choice talk

Meg Burns, Curatorial Administrative Assistant, will discuss the work The Waiting Room by Joey Fauerso in our Modern & Contemporary Art galleries.

3pm-8pm – Print to Impress Pop-Up Print Show

Stop by our H-E-B Study Room and get up close with prints not often on view from the Blanton’s collection. This special pop-up print show is sure to impress with prints of extraordinary effort and unusual process.

3pm-8pm – Live Music (Michener Gallery Building)

Experience a silent disco in the museum with a DJ set by Peligrosa Collective. Renowned Austin singer-songwriter Ray Prim will perform an acoustic set in our Meredith Lounge, with Diana Burgess accompanying on cello.

PARKING / TRANSPORT: Parking is available in the Brazos Garage. Please note, there may be heightened traffic due to students returning to UT. Be sure to plan extra time for parking. Normal rates can be paid directly at the garage. (Blanton Members get a $4 discounted rate at Check-In, valid all day). Ride-shares can drop off in the new Museum Drop-Off on the east side of the museum. Bicycle racks are available on the south side of Jester Center and on the west side of the museum’s Smith Administration Building. Public transit is encouraged; Cap Metro bus routes 1, 3, 7, 10, 18, 19, 20, 801, and 803 have stops within walking distance.
