French kings and their royal courts were known for luxurious lifestyles. Explore the magnificence and splendor of these royal residences, from the famed Galerie François I at Fontainebleau to the vast gardens of Versailles, with art historian Jamie Kwan. Come along on a virtual tour that brings to life royal interiors, gardens, and decorative arts inspired by the art in Fantastically French! Design and Architecture in 16th-to 18th-Century Prints.

Funding for this program is provided by the Charles and Dorothy Clark Lectureship in Fine Arts.

Jamie Kwan, PhD, Lecturer at University of California, Riverside

Jamie Kwan is an art historian and curator based in Los Angeles. She received her doctorate in Art History from Princeton University, where she focused on French Renaissance and Baroque art. Jamie has held positions at the Getty Museum, the Getty Research Institute, the Huntington Library, and the Morgan Library and her work has been supported by a Fulbright research grant.
