Event Details

Enjoy another late night at the museum as part of our ’Fridays Late Till 8’ series! Drop by our museum shop to peruse our gift selection and enjoy some refreshments from our café in between art gazing.

Tonight, you can look forward to a special screening by Silent Films Out Loud which will take place in our auditorium at 6pm. Taking on this season of summer blockbusters with a “Buster” of their own, Silent Films Out Loud returns for a third time to pair the original scores of Austin composers Jackie Myers, David Biller and Dave Madden with the short films of Buster Keaton. The pioneering pictures include 1920’s Neighbors and two releases from 1921 – The Goat and The High Sign – enhanced by a live orchestra to accentuate each action, sync with every stunt, and get in on each gag.

This event is included in the price of admission. Free for Blanton members.

The Blanton is located at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.  Paid parking is available in the Brazos Garage on Brazos Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Parking is $4; bring your ticket with you to the museum for payment and validation.
