As an exemplary example of 12th century Romanesque architecture and statuary, Kelly visited and photographed Notre-Dame la Grande.

Event Details

Join us as we delve into the rich architectural and artistic traditions that Kelly was exposed to during his almost seven years in France. Joan Holladay, Professor, Department of Art and Art History at The University of Texas at Austin will be our guest speaker.

This event will take place in our Capitol Room, located across the plaza in our Smith building, and is free with museum admission. Everyone is welcome to bring lunch.  Paid parking is available in the Brazos Garage on Brazos Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Parking is $4; bring your ticket with you to the museum.
