Event Details

Take a tour of The Floating World: Masterpieces of Edo Japan from the Worcester Art Museum, a vibrant presentation of more than 130 woodblock prints and painted scrolls. Explore remarkable works from the Worcester Art Museum’s famed collection, ranging from stunning landscape scenes to leisurely moments in everyday life. These extraordinary works testify to the artistic skill and vision of the designers and printmakers of early modern Japan. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the tour. Our tours can accommodate a maximum of 25 people on a first come, first serve basis. Please check-in with our Visitor Services Desk to secure your place.

Check our Before You Visit page when planning your trip. The Blanton is located at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Paid parking is available in the Brazos Garage on Brazos Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Blanton Members receive $4 discounted parking—bring your parking ticket to the Visitor Services Desk for payment. General visitors pay regular rates directly at Brazos Garage.

    1. Thanks for reaching out! These tours can’t be booked but as long as you arrive at least 5 minutes before the tour starts, you should be able to join it. Tours are included with museum admission which means if you’re members, it’s free! Otherwise, general admission is $15 per adult. We look forward to welcoming you!
